UN MOIS R159 & BSIS R151 Certified Camera Monitor System

The United Nations Economic Commission for Europe (UNECE) has officially announced the technical regulations
UN R151 related to blind spot monitoring systems and UN R159 related to pedestrian and bicycle movement
monitoring systems. UN R151 regulations have come into effect on November 15, 2019; UN R159 regulations have
come into effect on June 10, 2021, and will be enforced on new M2, M3, N2, and N3 models on July 6, 2022, and
on new M2, M3, N2, and N3 vehicles on July 7, 2024. Considering the international influence of UNECE regulations,
it can be foreseen that more and more countries will adopt UNR151 and UN R159 as the technical standards for
their blind spot monitoring systems and pedestrian movement monitoring systems.

In order to meet the relevant regulatory requirements of the United Nations UN R151 & UN R159, AOTOP launched
the AR-B15 AI visual monitoring system. The system is designed for medium and large commercial vehicles of M2,
M3, N2 and N3 categories, and is specially designed to improve the visibility and driving safety of vulnerable traffic
participants (VRU) on urban roads.

The system adopts a pure visual AI recognition solution, integrating core components such as the front-view MOIS
camera, the side view BSIS camera, a high-performance AI processing unit (AI BOX), a 7-inch LCD display, LED status
lights, an external sound and light alarm, a mute button and GPS antenna to form a complete detection and warning
system.

The AR-B15 system can identify pedestrians and non-motor vehicles in the blind spots in front and one side of the
vehicle in real time. When the target is detected to enter the "blind spot reminder area", the system reminds the driver
to pay attention through a yellow icon, voice "Watch for pedestrians!" and lights; when the target enters the "blind spot
danger area", the system upgrades the warning to a red icon and voice "Pedestrian hazard!". Both warning areas can be
accurately calibrated through the APP to adapt to different vehicle and road use environments.

The system supports automatic adjustment of voice broadcast logic according to vehicle speed:

● The MOIS system provides icons + voice reminders when the vehicle speed is 0-5km/h, and only icons are displayed
when the vehicle speed is higher than 5km/h;

● The BSIS system provides icons + voice reminders when the vehicle speed is 0-30km/h, and only icon prompts are
retained when the vehicle speed exceeds 30km/h.

During the operation of the system, if a camera is disconnected or damaged, the LCD display will display the corresponding
fault icon and voice prompt "Camera Malfunction"; if the camera is blocked, it will prompt "Camera Obstructed" to ensure
that the driver can understand the status of the device in time. To improve installation efficiency and adaptability, AR-B15
system supports the rapid deployment of left-hand drive right blind spot and right-hand drive left blind spot vehicles.

In terms of calibration, the system is equipped with ATP Tool mobile APP and WIFI calibration tools. Users can view the
camera image in real time and calibrate the warning area position through the APP. It supports iOS and Android platforms,
and the calibration process is simple and efficient.

AR-B15 has passed a number of performance verification tests, including recognition range accuracy, warning delay control
and reliability evaluation in extreme climate environments, ensuring stable operation under various road and climate conditions.
